  7. With ICS you can make your scans look like from the professionals.
  8. By  using  ICS  scan  quality  is  DRAMATICLY(!)  improved without
  9. requiring the user to manualy adjust scan colors while scanning.
  10.  
  11. This is the first release of ICS after nearly two years development.
  12. Support for ICC Profiles and more type of devices (printers,...)
  13. is planned for the next major release.
  14.  
  15. ICS already is directly supported by ScanQuix V4, ScanTrax V2.2.
  16. Other scanner drivers authors will soon add direct ICS support to
  17. their scanner drivers.  But ICS can also work independent of any
  18. specific scanner software using a stand-alone image file converter.

  20. ICS does work in 3 steps:
  21.  
  22.  - You do scan a calibration target with your scanner software
  23.    and use the incl. ScanTarget programm to create a profile
  24.    for your scanner.

  26.  - You do select your monitor or standard (PAL, sRGB, NTSC,...)
  27.    you want to color correct the scan for.
  28.  
  29.  - Now all scans with your scanner software will be color corrected
  30.    automaticly.

  32. It's as easy as that...

  34. ICS supports standard IT 8.7 (ISO 12641) from Kodak, Agfa, Fuji,
  35. CorelDraw/PhotoPaint and "Epson Color Reference Chart V1.0"
  36. calibration targets.

  49.           1 additional alpha channel (saved by PhotoShop
  50.           for instance).
